Digital Marketing School – Education / Training Provider

Reliable connectivity is fundamental to a modern education environment, supporting everything from day-to-day administration and teaching to cloud-based learning platforms, student services and communication.

Digital Marketing School approached Wifiworks with a requirement to get its new connectivity infrastructure commissioned and operational within a particularly tight timeframe.

Digital Marketing School provides online and blended education programmes, meaning dependable internet connectivity and high-performance Wi-Fi form an important part of both its physical premises and wider digital learning environment.

The project involved commissioning the new fibre internet connection and designing and deploying a Ubiquiti UniFi Wi-Fi 7 network throughout the premises, providing the school with a modern, centrally managed wireless platform capable of supporting staff, students and the increasing number of connected devices used within an educational environment.

One of the key challenges was timescale. The school needed the infrastructure operational quickly, so the project required responsive planning, equipment procurement and installation, followed by configuration and testing to ensure the system could be handed over ready for use.

Wifiworks managed the process from initial assessment through to commissioning. Once the incoming fibre service was live, the UniFi infrastructure was configured and the Wi-Fi 7 network deployed and optimised throughout the building.

The completed system was thoroughly tested before handover, with the client given a fully commissioned UniFi environment providing centralised visibility and management of the wireless network.

Just as importantly, the project didn’t finish when the installation was completed. Reliable delivery and ongoing support were key requirements. Wifiworks continues to provide support for the system, with remote visibility allowing us to assist with network management, troubleshooting and future changes when required.

For organisations such as Digital Marketing School, this combination of reliable infrastructure and responsive technical support is particularly important. Connectivity problems can quickly affect staff, students and the delivery of digital services, so having both a dependable network and a support team familiar with the installation provides valuable continuity.

Despite the tight programme, the fibre service and new UniFi Wi-Fi 7 infrastructure were successfully commissioned, configured, tested and handed over within the required timeframe.

The result is a fast, reliable and scalable network platform that gives Digital Marketing School the connectivity it needs today, while providing a strong foundation for future growth.

For Wifiworks, the project demonstrates that successful network installations aren’t simply about supplying the latest hardware. They are about understanding the deadline, delivering when promised, commissioning the system correctly and being there to support the client afterwards.

Wifiworks was initially approached to upgrade the door access system at this Hertfordshire-based company, replacing an outdated and partially operational system with a modern UniFi Access solution.

The first phase included three controlled doors with G3 Intercoms and new structured cabling throughout. From there, the project expanded into a wider UniFi rollout encompassing CCTV and network infrastructure.

For surveillance, we installed a combination of fixed G6 Turret cameras and G6 PTZ cameras, providing comprehensive coverage across the large site. As the property is an impressive older stately-home building, particular care was taken with cable routes, equipment positioning and overall aesthetics to ensure the technology remained sympathetic to the character of the property.

The network was also upgraded with Wi-Fi 7 U7 XG access points and a series of 48-port UniFi switches, providing a modern high-performance wired and wireless infrastructure. A UNVR Pro was installed as part of the central UniFi platform, bringing the site’s systems together for straightforward management and monitoring.

The installation presented several practical challenges, including ceilings approaching five metres in height, requiring tower access, as well as limited installation windows to complete and integrate the work with minimal disruption. Extensive pre-configuration helped us deliver the project efficiently within those constraints.

The client has been extremely happy with the completed installation, and we’re now looking at the next phase of the project. This includes replacing the company’s existing staff check-in/check-out system with additional UniFi G3 Readers and exploring integration with the site’s alarm system – further consolidating the property onto a single UniFi platform….
