Job details
The Role
As an AV & Network Engineer, you will be responsible for installing structured Cat6 Ethernet cabling, typically run externally from the router position to various rooms within the main house. Cables are terminated either at Wi-Fi access points or into network switches using RJ45 connectors.
Much of our work is carried out in two-storey, three- to four-bedroom residential properties, including mid-terrace, semi-detached, and detached homes. While the role does not involve working at extreme heights, it does require regular use of ladders to route cabling via guttering, soffits, or external wall runs. Applicants must therefore be comfortable working on ladders in all weather conditions up to typical two- to three-storey house heights.
What We Provide
- A fully branded Wi-Fi Works company van
- Branded company workwear
- All tools and hardware required to complete installations to a high standard
- Varied, hands-on, site-based work
Most installations are completed independently by a single engineer. However, for larger or more complex projects, you will work as part of a wider integrated installation team.
Professional Standards & Development
We expect engineers to maintain the highest standards of professional presentation and conduct, and to be courteous and respectful when dealing with customers, upholding our reputation for premium customer service.
You will be encouraged to continually develop your skills through both in-house and external training programmes, enabling you to confidently assist customers and respond to technical enquiries during the installation process.
As demand for our services continues to grow, we offer clear opportunities to progress in both salary and responsibility, with the potential to move into senior or management roles as your career — and the company — develops.
