Yoti approached WiFi Works as part of the relocation of their London offices, requiring a complete technology infrastructure to be designed, installed and commissioned within the new premises.

The aim was to create a robust, centrally managed system covering the company’s network, Wi-Fi, CCTV and physical access control, while making sensible use of the existing building infrastructure wherever possible. With the office move already underway, the installation also had to be carefully coordinated around other trades, existing services and the client’s relocation programme.

Following an initial site survey and design stage, WiFi Works delivered a complete Ubiquiti UniFi solution across the new office. The wireless network was built around six enterprise-grade Wi-Fi 7 access points, providing high-performance coverage throughout the premises and giving Yoti a modern platform capable of supporting a busy working environment and future growth.

At the heart of the system, WiFi Works built and organised the communications infrastructure, including new patching, structured cabling and the integration of suitable existing network cabling. Existing terminations were brought into the new installation, allowing the rack and network infrastructure to be presented in a much cleaner, more structured and maintainable way.

A major part of the project was the access control system. Multiple existing office doors had to be retrofitted for electronic access, with eight UniFi Access door hubs installed alongside a combination of G3 readers, keypad access, intercom functionality and associated locking hardware. The work included adapting existing doors for items such as magnetic locks, strike locks and emergency break-glass devices, giving the client a consistent and centrally managed access solution throughout the building.

The security system was also brought onto the UniFi platform, with seven CCTV cameras installed and integrated with the wider network and access-control environment. This gives the client a single ecosystem for monitoring, recording, access management and day-to-day system administration.

As with many office relocation projects, careful planning and coordination were just as important as the hardware itself. WiFi Works worked around the client’s move, existing infrastructure and on-site programme, installing new cabling where required, retaining suitable existing infrastructure and ensuring the various systems were commissioned and ready for use as the new office came online.

The completed installation provides Yoti with a fully integrated UniFi environment covering enterprise Wi-Fi 7, network infrastructure, CCTV and multi-door access control. The result is a clean, scalable and centrally managed technology platform designed to support the company both immediately and as the office continues to evolve.
